About Bear Boating
As we approach our sixth season serving the White Bear Lake area, we look forward to sharing the beauty of White Bear Lake with you!
Bear Boating serves seniors (age 60+), active duty members, and veterans of any age May through September. Last year, the volunteer captains and crew took more than 1,000 people on complimentary excursions for fishing and sightseeing. The boat holds 12 passengers and went out at least 100 times.
White Bear Lake is one of the largest lakes in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. It was incorporated in 1921 with a population over 2,000 and today has approximately 27,000 residents. Even with its size, White Bear Lake has been able to maintain that small town charm. With a thriving downtown area and summer events like Manitou Days, Marketfest, and the Farmers Market, it is a great place to live and visit.
