Bear Boating of White Bear Lake, a non-profit group offering fishing and boating excursions for Seniors, Active Duty Military, Veterans, and Disabled in our community.
Volunteer Training May 22 and 30
Just a reminder about tomorrow's volunteer training at the Boatworks Commons and a note about parking. It should be a beautiful evening and parking can sometimes be a challenge. We recommend the Boatworks Commons parking ramp. The ramp is accessed from Lake Avenue between Acqua Restaurant and Mizu Japanese.
Please note the VFW’s parking lot is for their customers only. If you can’t find a spot in the ramp, on the street or the small lot next to the VFW building by the city boat dock, your next option is along highway 61.
We are looking forward to seeing you all again and welcome to all new volunteers! Your time and dedication are truly appreciated!
Bear Boating of White Bear Lake is a non profit group of volunteers offering fishing and boating excursions for seniors, active duty military, veterans and disabled in our communities.
We are "fishing for volunteers" to contribute time and expertise to help create memories for all of our guests. We offer two hour boat trips on White Bear Lake during the summer months of June, July and August. Each volunteer trip is a commitment of three hours. All interested volunteers must attend the training to be qualified to volunteer.
Please join us on Tuesday May, 22nd from 5-8 PM at Boatworks Commons community room located at 4495 Lake Ave South, White Bear Lake. Social hour and registration with complimentary light snacks and beverages will be from 5-6. Mandatory training and information session will be from 6-7 for all volunteers. Captains training and an opportunity to check out the boat in the water will be from 7-8. No RSVP required.
There will be an additional training session on Wednesday May 30, from 5:30-7:30 PM at the White Bear Lake Library, 2150 2nd St, White Bear Lake for any interested volunteers that are unable to attend the May 22 session.
